God with Us—Incarnation

Matthew 1:18–25

Introduction

John 1:14 And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we have seen his glory, glory as of the only Son from the Father, full of grace and truth.

 

Jesus comes with hope that transforms every area of our lives.

 

1. Christ stepped into the messiness of our lives — v. 18

 

2. Christ stepped into the mission that he would call us into — v. 21

 

Luke 19:10 For the Son of Man came to seek and to save the lost.

 

The moment you were saved, you were simultaneously called into the mission of God

 

John 20:21 Jesus said to them again, “Peace be with you. As the Father has sent me, even so I am sending you.

 

Your past and pain is the platform God uses to point others to Jesus.
