Introduction

 

A simple proclamation can change everything for someone on the outside.

1. The Proclamation of a Savior (vv. 8–11)

 

2. A Proclamation of Peace (vv. 10–14)

 

Hopelessness sets in when your focus is on your circumstances and not Christ.

1. with God

Romans 5:1 Therefore, since we have been justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ.

 

2. with others

 

Romans 12:18 If possible, so far as it depends on you, live peaceably with all.

 

Ephesians 4:32 Be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, as God in Christ forgave you.

 

3. A Proclamation that is Shared (vv. 15–18)

 

Quote: “The angels have never experienced the grace of God, so they can’t bear witness as we can. Telling others about the Savior is a solemn obligation as well as a great privilege, and we who are believers must be faithful.” 

 

7 out of 10 people have never been invited to church their whole lives.

 

82% of unchurched are at least somewhat likely to attend church if invited.
