What is this effect?
- POWER!
For what?
- Unbeliever - Salvation that leads to New Life
- Believer - Divine Wisdom that leads to God’s Glory
The Barrier
The world sees the “message” of the cross as . . .
- Foolishness!
Why?
- Unbeliever
- It appears insane
- It seems too simple
- It costs me nothing
- Believer
- It is countercultural
- It seems too difficult
- It costs me everything
Overcoming the Barrier
To overcome the barrier built by the world, we must . . .
- Believe!
What?
- Unbeliever
- Christ is the only way to eternal life
- Christ died for me
- Christ only asks for repentance & acceptance
- Believer
- My Life belongs FULLY to God
- God’s Wisdom is ALWAYS best
- God’s Glory is TOTALLY worth it
